I find it a little distrubing that there are two other defects in plain sight in the same brief subsection.

First there is a mention of table:cell-protect in the last sentence which is apparently meant to be "style:cell-protect." In addition, there is a "(see section )" with no referenced section number. (The same happens in 15.11.14 where that same blank section ( 8.1.1 evidently) is being referenced.

[I keep thinking we have seen these before, perhaps in other public comments that we did not think to review for these sections when handling the SC34 defect reports. Possibly the other defects applied to different sections than this one, although they are about the same problem.]

While it is not our practice to do anything but a minimum fix for the defect report as written, I suspect our doing only that here and elsewhere is baffling to the defect submitter.

How about fixing the two other defects adjacent to the one that is repaired?

Svante Schubert added a comment - 17/May/10 03:28 PM
Dennis, thanks for the very good review.

As the issues are in the following sentence of the original fix and both more substantial than wording problems, I gladly follow your suggestion to have them fixed with this defect report. I believe none of the National Body members nor the TC members will protest, still they might do so as in this issue.

PS: It certainly a minor challenge how to copy the chapter references into the errata document without receiving an "Error: Reference source not found" message, although the destination chapter is not present.

Svante Schubert added a comment - 18/May/10 08:33 AM
Dennis, the missing reference text seems to be a phantom issue. In a new downloaded version of ODF 1.0,2nd ed. the chapter reference does exist.
I therefore only exchange the single wrong attribute word instead of getting into trouble with copying part of references in the errata document.

Errata 02 - ODF 1.2 Reconciliation. There is a different wording in Part 1 19.698.5 <table:table-cell> table:protected attribute specification. There is no need for reconciliation with Errata 02 for this attribute.
