Proposal:
The text:copy-outline-levels attribute specifies whether or not outline entries retain the indention style of their source or if they are styled according to the outline where they are copied.

The defined values for the text:copy-outline-levels attribute are:

false: all index entries are styled at the top outline level their target index.
true: all index entries are styled at the outline level of their source index.
Resolution:
7.7.1 Copy Outline Levels

Delete the sentences:
"This attribute can have a value of true or false.
If the value is true, the entries are gathered at the outline level of the source element to which they refer.
If the value is false, all index entries gathered are at the top outline level. For example, if an image appears in section 1.2.3, the entry for the image is located at outline level 3."
and insert:
"The text:copy-outline-levels attribute specifies whether index entries are indented according to the outline level of their source.
The defined values for the text:copy-outline-levels attribute are:
false: no indentation is added.
true: index entries are indented according to the outline level of their source."

QUALIFIER clarification required

REFERENCES IN DOCUMENT "Copy Outline Levels", Clasue 7.7.1

NATURE OF DEFECT The subclause is underspecified. In particular, what is meant by the phrase "gathered at the outline level"? Is each entry displayed together with the outline level or section number?

Dennis, if you got the feeling something is still missing, please list some more details. In addition, if you find some gap, please assist me and start up with an initially wording.

Svante, since I don't understand what this section intends to say, I have no idea how to repair it. I can only tell you that neither wording makes sense to me.

I would hope that someone who know what actually happens (say in OO.o 3.2) can provide a description that can be understood without knowing the implementation.

Basically, the provision seems to still be underspecified.

Errata 02 - ODF 1.2 Reconciliation. The ODF 1.2 specification in section 19.784 is consistent with Errata 02.
