Proposal: Do not support this operation. The required behavior is available using POST to Children.

How does this differ from posting to Children?

I think this is due to consistentency and having clients that do not have to remember whether it ischildren or descendants.

however, I am okay if it is not there, and I think this should be deferred until 88 is resolved

If we decide to keep this service, the spec should be updated to refer to the description of the children collection POST method. It remains my preference to omit this collection.

What does it mean to POST to the descendants collection? Does the new item get added as a child, grandchild, etc? I think descendants should be a read only collection.
